The Effect of Ice Floe on the Strength, Stability, and Fatigue of Hybrid Flexible Risers in the Arctic Sea

Flexible risers have proven to be a popular choice for deepwater exploration due their ability withstand functional and environmental stress while maintaining system integrity. At water depth 340 m, riser was analysed various global configurations evaluate static, dynamic, lamina-scale its carbon fibre-reinforced thermoplastic polymer layer. The drifting ice region generated additional load on system, effects this design dynamic lamina-level performances were also analysed. results indicate that current incorporating layer is insufficient ensure integrity without mitigating loading. fibre direction each lamina must optimised excess axial emanating from combined action hoop, axial, bending stresses.
